LÉGER towels were born from a need to have a performant and better product for our planet. At LÉGER they think that everyone of us has the obligation to consume sustainably. They believe we cannot continue to ignore the environmental issues we are facing and that we must take responsibility.
1% of all their profits will be donated to Plastic Oceans, a charity dedicated to ending plastic pollution.
HOW THEY MAKE YOUR TOWELS FROM PLASTIC BOTTLES:
Polyester is made from pulled yarn made from plastic. They chose to source their material from recycled plastic (instead of new plastic) that is collected, cleaned, sorted by color and crush, pulled into yarn and woven into soft suede-like fabric.
Their towels are made from 80% recycled polyester and 20% polyester, and are 100% recyclable!
Their goal is to develop a fabric that is made from 100% recycled materials, which can provide the same soft, moisture-activating grip, ultra absorbent and sand-repellent properties as vegan-suede.
